The Blazers managed to maintain their advantage throughout the second quarter and held a six-point lead at halftime. Despite the deficit, the Rockets remained within striking distance, entering the final quarter trailing by only five points. With renewed energy in the fourth quarter, the Rockets gained momentum, resulting in multiple lead changes. In a dramatic turn of events, Smith Jr. sealed the comeback victory for his team with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, igniting a wild celebration.
Smith Jr. showcased his versatility, contributing not only 33 points but also seven rebounds, two assists, and a block, all in 31 minutes of play.
