The Mint Hill Police Department has taken swift action by issuing an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Adalyn Mae Hochstetler, who has been reported missing. Adalyn, a petite girl measuring 3 feet in height and weighing approximately 30 pounds, has distinctive features such as brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a jean skirt paired with a pink shirt.
Authorities have reason to believe that Adalyn may be accompanied by her mother, Kelsi Lyn Hochstetler, a 30-year-old woman standing at 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. The girl’s concerned father reached out to the police on Thursday, disclosing that he is currently separated from Kelsi and was expecting to have custody of his daughter on June 19. However, Adalyn never arrived, and the father’s last communication with Kelsi also took place on the same day. Notably, the father recalls the last time he personally saw Adalyn was on June 11.
Authorities visited Kelsi Hochstetler’s residence but were unsuccessful in locating her. Subsequent investigation revealed that no members of her family have had any contact with her in nearly two weeks. Investigators suspect that Hochstetler may be evading the authorities, potentially in relation to pending court hearings concerning child custody matters.
The last known sighting of Kelsi Lyn Hochstetler occurred on Dan Hood Road in Mint Hill. She might be driving a 2019 Black Kia Optima LX featuring a North Carolina license plate displaying the characters “FFF3959.” Authorities have received information suggesting that she could be en route to Delaware, possibly to meet an individual with whom she is romantically involved.
The Mint Hill Police Department is urging anyone who possesses any information about Adalyn’s location to promptly contact them at 704-889-2231. In urgent situations, individuals are encouraged to dial 911 to provide crucial details that could aid law enforcement in finding the missing child and ensuring her safe return.
