The highly anticipated third season of Bridgerton is gearing up to deliver another captivating installment filled with scandal, romance, and all the grandeur of the period drama. Returning to Netflix later this year, the series will once again introduce audiences to a new couple and immerse them in the world of high society, replete with dazzling gowns and tantalizing gossip.

Leading the charge in Season Three are Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton, reprising their roles as Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, respectively. Fans are eagerly awaiting the on-screen exploration of their compelling friends-to-lovers dynamic.

In addition to the beloved cast members who have enchanted viewers over the years, Bridgerton’s upcoming season will introduce fresh faces to the ensemble.

  1. Daniel Francis: Joining the cast for Season Three is the talented actor Daniel Francis. As announced in 2022, Daniel will portray the charismatic Marcus Anderson, a magnetic figure who captures the attention of influential matriarchs within the ton. His impressive résumé includes notable roles in Netflix’s Stay Close, Small Axe, and Liaison, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
  2. Sam Phillips: Taking on the role of Lord Delbing in the upcoming series is actor Sam Phillips. Lord Delbing is described as a genial lord with substantial wealth, a noble title, and a penchant for eccentric interests and hobbies. Sam has previously made his mark in popular shows such as The Crown, This England, and Grantchester, demonstrating his acting prowess.
  3. James Phoon: James Phoon will bring the character of Harry Dankworth to life in Bridgerton’s third season. While details about his character remain scarce, James is described as someone blessed with serious good looks that compensate for a lack of formal education. James has previously made appearances in BBC’s Wreck, showcasing his talent on screen.
  4. Hannah Dodd: In Season Three, the character of Francesca Bridgerton will be portrayed by Hannah Dodd. The role was recast after Ruby Stokes left the show to take on a leading part in the series Lockwood & Co. Hannah has previously showcased her acting skills in Anatomy of a Scandal, a Netflix series that featured notable stars such as Sienna Miller, Rupert Friend, and Michelle Dockery.

Chris Van Dusen, the showrunner for Bridgerton, explained that the decision to recast Francesca was necessitated by circumstances beyond their control. The aim was always to focus on one Bridgerton sibling per season, and while Francesca’s role had to be adjusted, her character will have her own love story in book six.

Fans can also look forward to the return of other beloved cast members, including Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, and Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, among many others.
